ELIXIR Luxembourg at the ELIXIR RDM Community meeting in Barcelona

From 28 to 30 September 2026, ELIXIR Luxembourg took part in the ELIXIR Research Data Management (RDM) Community Hybrid Event at the Parque de Investigación Biomédica de Barcelona (PRBB).
The two-day RDM Community meeting brought together data stewards, infrastructure providers and RDM experts from across ELIXIR Nodes. The programme combined presentations, discussions and hands-on sessions on research data management and FAIR practices. It was followed by the co-located ELITMa Node Data Management Strategy event, which focused on how ELIXIR Nodes develop and put in place their own data management strategies.
The two main topics of the meeting were the Data Stewardship Handbook, which collects the knowledge and experience of data stewards across Europe, and the RDM Maturity Model, a framework that helps Nodes and institutes assess their research data management services and plan next steps.
ELIXIR Luxembourg is an active member of the ELIXIR RDM Community and contributes to shared resources that help researchers manage their data responsibly, especially sensitive biomedical data. Meetings like this one let the Node share its expertise, learn from other Nodes and align its services with practices across Europe.
