Knowledge Hub

As part of ELIXIR, LNDS has developed and consolidated a centralised platform: the Knowledge Hub. This platform brings together guidance materials, information on tools, and an overview of national-level services, which serves as a comprehensive entry point for researchers and data management professionals across domains and sectors in Luxembourg.

Within the Expert Knowledge section, the Knowledge Hub provides detailed, practical explanations covering various stages of the research data management (RDM) lifecycle. It also outlines the regulatory and policy landscape relevant to research data management, helping users navigate ethical, legal, and organisational requirements.

In addition, the Knowledge Hub offers best practice recommendations on a wide range of RDM topics. These include strategies for data preservation and responsible sharing, choosing interoperable and sustainable file formats, obtaining and managing Persistent Identifiers (PIDs), and selecting trusted data repositories that align with disciplinary or institutional standards. The platform thus supports researchers in making informed, compliant decisions throughout the entire lifecycle of their data.
