## COVID-19 update

Due to the suspension of all in-person teaching at the university starting 11 March 2020 it is currently not clear if this course will take course as planned. We will take a close look at the possibilty of holding the course as currently planned 13 April 2020.


Galaxy is a scientific workflow, data integration, and data and analysis persistence and publishing platform that aims to make computational biology accessible to research scientists that do not have computer programming experience.

A free server installation is available at


  • Day 1: Introduction to Galaxy
    • 11:00 - 12:00 Presentation on capabilities for workflow management with notes development and capacities for sensitive data
    • 13:00 - 17:00 Introduction to Galaxy - hands on session.
  • Day 2: RNA-seq analysis with Galaxy.
    • Whole day
