FAIR Cookbook

The FAIR Cookbook is an online, open and live resource for the Life Sciences with practical guidance in the form of step-by-step recipes that help researchers to make and keep data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR). The FAIR Cookbook is an ELIXIR Recommended Interoperability Resource (RIR) and a core part of the ELIXIR Interoperability Platforms’s FAIRification Framework.

ELIXIR Luxembourg’s Contributions

ELIXIR Luxembourg plays an active and important role in the FAIR Cookbook:

Editorial Board Membership ELIXIR Luxembourg has dedicated members serving on the official FAIR Cookbook editorial board, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the quality and relevance of its content, as well as supporting technical maintenance and development. We also participate in the ELIXIR Interoperability Platform’s Joint Editorial Board, which coordinates the technical and content alignment between several of ELIXIR’s knowledge resources, including the RDMkit and the FAIR Cookbook.

Content Development We actively contribute high-quality, easily applicable content to enable researchters to tackle concrete FAIR challenges with their data.

Training & Dissemination We provide regular training and dissemination activities, such as webinars and hands-on workshops, within and beyond ELIXIR, presenting the FAIR Cookbook as part of the ELIXIR Interoperability Platform’s wider FAIRification framework.

Through these contributions, ELIXIR Luxembourg supports the research community in ensuring long-term value generation from well-managed research data.
