Disease maps

A disease map is a manually curated knowledge repository established to describe molecular mechanisms of a particular disease. It compiles literature-based information into an easy to explore and freely accessible molecular interaction map and offers research-facilitating functionalities such as the overlay of experimental data and the identification of drug targets on the map.

Disease maps are hosted on the MINERVA platform, a standalone webserver for visual exploration, analysis and management of molecular networks encoded in systems biology formats, including CellDesigner, SBML and SBGN. The networks generated by the platform can be visualised via any web browser and are accessible to all viewers with the weblink to the resource.
